Learn about the latest updates to European Ecodesign Single Lighting Regulation.
Join UL’s webinar to learn about the new mandatory requirements for the ecodesign of light sources and separate control gears, Regulation (EU) 2019/2020, also known as Single Lighting Regulation (SLR) in line with energy labeling for light sources, Energy Labeling Regulation (ELR), (EU) 2019/2015. Due to the new definition of light sources, even a fridge, oven or microwave might be deemed a light source and need to comply with the SLR.
New amendments were released in March 2021, and additional major changes for producers and end users of lighting and appliances products will take effect in September 2021.
Key points:
- Regulation for ecodesign requirements for light sources and separate control gears (EU) 2019/2020: energy efficiency requirements and new lighting terminology for a more circular economy approach
- Regulation on energy labeling for light sources (EU) 2019/2015: a rescaling of energy labeling classes and the enlargement of the scope to all light sources placed in the EU market
